Motel 6 Connellys Springs, NC

The owners are helpful and pleasant, and the motel is quiet. I came back for my second visit and was very pleased. The rooms are really clean, so this is where I go when I need a place.

The workers couldn’t understand what I was trying to tell them. The shower curtain in the room was covered in mold, and the freezer in the fridge was disgusting. I also noticed bars on the business windows.

My girlfriend was chased up the stairs by a homeless man after she went to get us something to eat. She screamed, and he ran off the other way. With my son crawling around and getting into things, finding drug paraphernalia behind the mini fridge was especially concerning. I’d praised the staff and rooms in an earlier review, and the room itself is pretty nice and clean if you don’t look behind the fridge. When I told staff about what I found, they said to call the police. The officer came, threw it away, and left. After that, the front desk woman got unreasonably rude. All I wanted was to change rooms, but it took calling the police to get anywhere. This was ridiculous. Don’t stay here, especially with kids.

The rooms have been remodeled and are really nice. The front desk woman is kind and considerate, too. It’s definitely worth the price, with granny’s kitchen, taco bell, and burger kind within walking distance. I was very impressed and would stay again.
