Check-in was quick and friendly, and I liked having a separate office and couch area where I could still watch TV. The reading lights right above my side of the bed were a really nice touch, too. The closet was roomy and sat between the toilet and shower, though the room itself had a very funky layout, with lots of sliding doors that could use some WD-40. The lobby bar looked closed when we came down around 8 on Saturday night. The hotel is handy for North Houston, but tucked into The Woodlands, so you don’t really see it from the highway. My main gripe is the no-pets rule. I get why they have it, but taking our dogs on road trips feels harder and harder. We’re millennials who love driving and bringing our dogs. I’d stay again.

The pool and workout room were lovely, and breakfast had plenty to choose from. I stayed with my sister in a suite with two beds, a couch, and a desk. It came with a hair dryer, iron and board, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and ice bucket. I also liked that the shower and toilet were in separate rooms, with a phone in each for safety. The staff were so friendly and top tier. We had a wonderful stay.

I was told at the front desk, pretty rudely, that rooms aren’t cleaned every day. So be prepared to clean yours yourself, and apparently you won’t get fresh towels either. I guess that’s what “affordable prices” get you. Lesson learned. Clean rooms for guests aren’t included, but rude service is free.

We were all leaving for a work trip by 4:45 a.m., so I asked the older woman at the front desk if coffee could be ready in the lobby. The first time, she was rude and said it was my lucky day because she only had it ready since she wanted a cup herself. The next morning my coworker asked, and she rudely said not until 5. Brewing a pot of coffee doesn’t seem like a big deal to me. Anyway, thanks for a memorable stay.

The interstate is *very* close, so expect some noise if your room faces that way. Still, Marriott consistently makes for an enjoyable stay. The bed and pillows let me sleep well, and the shower worked great for waking me up.
