Later, once the cleaning chemicals wore off, the air felt thick and dry, like we were walking into a barn. If you're used to normal things like regular meals and bathing, I don't think your body can handle this place. Maybe you can manage a 48-hour lockdown in a 12-by-12 room, but if you're trying to be careful with money while still keeping yourself well, you could end up sick from mold, roaches, the flu, or something else. It felt like they were just cleaning over the dirt. Please don't put yourself through this if you aren't homeless.
