La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Conway

I felt so unsafe that I slept in my car, where someone in the parking lot harassed me too. When I checked out early, they refused a refund, blocked my number, and threatened to arrest me if I came back. Avoid this place. The room was filthy and smelled sour and rotten. I found used underwear under the bed, and roaches came out of the sink and went into the toilet. The TV cable was ripped out, the outlets didn’t work, and the lights kept flickering. Dust blowing from the AC made me develop a persistent cough. That night there was constant screaming and crying from other rooms, and police were called because of the noise. Check-in was unprofessional from the start. The front desk clerk was distracted by his phone, disrespectful, and had trouble getting me checked in. I usually leave positive or fair reviews, but this stay was terrible and unsafe.

The mattresses were still in decent shape and the rooms were a reasonable size. Good coffee, too. But I’ve had cleaner stays while deployed, and the hotel seems to lack good leadership. Linens and furniture had lots of different bodily fluid stains. Boxes of files blocked the business center, and the pool looked like something from a horror movie. The workout area was sad. Both treadmills showed error statuses and wouldn’t work, and the stationary bike’s seat was stuck in a position for someone 6'6". There were also four sets of dumbbells and an incline seat. I can’t comment on breakfast since I came down at 930 and had missed it. It ends at 9 sharp.

It’s easy to miss among all the nearby places to stay, but the price makes it worth finding. The beds are comfortable, the staff are extra friendly, and it’s pet-friendly with accessible parking spots. The rooms and location were clean. I’ll be back.

We stayed Friday night while traveling and got brown water from the tub faucet. The room smelled musty, the floor was sticky, and the bathroom smelled sour. No one offered us another room or even somewhere to shower. I was told they have 70 rooms and nobody else had complained. I’m still waiting for Thomas to have the manager call me, as I asked for a full refund. We didn’t eat there because of the bad water. They charged $25 per pet, which wasn’t listed on Hotels.com, and the pet area needed mowing. I’d like to know what they do with that fee if it isn’t being used to maintain the area. This place is the pits, fine for an hourly rental, but I wouldn’t want to spend the night.
