For what we paid, this was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed, and we travel often. The facility was clean and nice, the staff were friendly, and the heated pool was good. It wasn’t as hot as a hot tub, which worked well since our little ones wanted to stay in for a long time.

I came back from an errand more than two hours before checkout, planning to shower before my 11:30 departure. The front desk woman had already heard me say I was going up to shower and then check out, but the maid had cleaned and closed the room, and my key had been cut off so it no longer worked. I told the maid I still needed a shower, but she didn’t take it well. I went downstairs to ask how to sort it out, since the room was paid for through checkout and it seemed like an easy mistake to fix. The woman just shrugged at me. No apology, no attempt to help. I handed over the dead key and left. I’m not going to argue with staff who don’t seem to care about the business’s reputation or future. I’ll let other people know that, in my opinion, you may not get what you paid for here.

It’s a clean, well-run corporate hotel with a generous hot breakfast included. Finding it is tricky because it sits in a small pocket off the highway, so trust your navigation more than your instincts. Watching my Uber Eats driver try to locate it was kind of fun. The place also feels a bit like a corporate fortress. The parking lot is narrow and wraps around the building, often crowded with utility trucks from the hotel’s contract with a large freight company. Bright security lights ring the lot and shine straight into rooms at night.

The parking situation was awful. There’s no room for anything bigger than a subcompact, so I had to walk nearly half a mile to Home Depot to park my truck and trailer, in the dark both last night and this morning. The entire fourth floor smelled like weed when I got off the elevator. The bed was so hard my ribs were sore when I woke up. The closet door was hanging off its hinges and almost impossible to close. Though the room was meant to be handicap accessible, the only concession was one vertical bar in the tub, which sat four to six inches above the floor. Eleven at night to six in the morning was plenty for this chick. We’re staying somewhere else tonight.
