SpringHill Suites by Marriott Conyers

The room smelled like mildew and mold, and the floor was so damp. We figured they’d turned on the AC to cover the smell. The hot water was only pool temperature. We’d booked a two-queen suite with a pullout for our teenager, but one of the queen beds had hair and a broken toenail on it. We arrived around 5pm Friday after driving from Florida. Two guests were waiting ahead of us, and the rude worker took about 45 minutes to give us a key. There were four of us, so the room came with four sets of towels. We used them after the long drive, then reused them the next day before going to a funeral. We asked housekeeping for fresh towels for Sunday, our checkout day, but got no service Saturday. When we returned from the funeral, there still weren’t any clean towels, so I brought the used ones to the desk and explained we needed replacements. The rude, nasty worker asked our room number and how many people were staying. I told her it was me, my husband, and our two teenagers, and showed her the dirty towels. She said we couldn’t get towels until tomorrow. I reminded her we were checking out tomorrow and wouldn’t use dirty ones again. My husband spoke to her too, and she was nice to him and gave him towels. She said we’d get service tomorrow, but again, we were checking out then. I’m never coming back.

The location is just off the freeway, with restaurants and shopping nearby if you need them. The hotel and my room were clean, cool, and comfortable, and I’ll stay here again when I’m back in the area. Everyone I met on staff was very nice, especially Jeffrey at the front desk and the kind head of housekeeping, whose name I can’t remember. I can be a little extra sometimes, but they were patient and accommodating. It was a wonderful weekend visit.

Everything was great and very clean. Our housekeeper Kala went above and beyond to make sure we had good service while we stayed at the Springfield suites. I’ll be back.

My fiancé and I started coming here for a couple of weekend nights as a getaway, then ended up staying for a few weeks while our home was being renovated. Ebony, Jeffrey, Jasmine, and the rest of the team were friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout. The rooms are comfortable, and even the lobby has a homey feel. I wouldn’t have picked anywhere else and would definitely recommend staying here.
