Days Inn by Wyndham Cookeville

Everything else was great, clean, and made for an awesome stay. The staff were amazing and really friendly, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. The pillows, though, weren't great. I'd bring your own or pick one up at the Walmart up the street.

The manager was friendly and responsive, and the heater, TV, and mini fridge all worked. Beyond that, the room was a mess: there was a giant hole in the floor beneath the flooring, mildew on the shower curtain rod, and a hole in the bedsheet. The room phone didn't work. The towels were thin, hard, and scratchy, and water came from both the spigot and shower at once. It was tepid at best. We didn't risk the breakfast. I'd highly recommend the La Quinta down the street instead.

Room 424 had a broken shower knob, and the hot water lasted about a minute. The pillows felt like display pillows, not proper ones. Breakfast was basically muffins, applesauce, and coffee. The location is A1 for nearby food places, at least. If you're after a cheap, somewhat decent hotel with very few breakfast choices and a cold shower, this is the place. At least it's not Red Roof Inn, haha.

The hotel is near lots of good restaurants and shopping, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean, too. But the floor in our room was so uneven, like it had bubbled up underneath, that I was afraid I might fall.
