Country Inn and Suites Coon Rapids

The location is the strongest point, with a restaurant and bar next door and a Target nearby. We were there for a local youth sports tournament. We checked in around 10:30 PM, only to be told our room wasn't ready. A few minutes later we got keys, but that room had just one bed even though the reservation was for two beds for two adults and a child. The front desk immediately gave us keys to a different room with two beds. That room seemed to have only the two bedside lights outside the bathroom. In the morning we found garbage the cleaning crew had left, Hot Cheetos under the overhang of both beds and an empty condom wrapper on the bed nearest the bathroom. Breakfast had a decent variety, but the food tasted partly frozen or watered down. If you stay, call ahead to check that your room will be ready, even if you arrive after 8 PM.

I couldn't sleep because the room had no airflow. The AC kept cutting out and wasn't moving enough air through the room, so I had to step outside for fresh air. Apart from that, it would be a great hotel.

The closest entrance to our room wouldn't open from outside, so we had to use the next door whenever we came back in. There was also a dog across the hall that kept barking whenever it was left alone. Dogs and their owners should have their own areas in hotels.

The lobby was spotless and had a homey feel, and the rooms were updated and clean. The bed I slept in was comfortable, and it was surprisingly quiet even with kids in the building. The location is convenient. I'll definitely stay again.
