Quality Inn Corydon

The room showed a little wear, but it wasn’t enough to make us uncomfortable. Staff were very friendly, and breakfast was fine. For the price, it’s hard to beat. I’d definitely stay again.

My parents are over 90 and had the worst stay. The hotel was hard to find because it was poorly marked, and it was run-down and generally dirty. Their mattress was worn out, the carpets were stained and dirty, and paint was peeling from the walls. In the bathroom, the towels were stained, and there was a dirty sanitary napkin in the trash. They tried to check out right away, but the manager refused to refund them.

We stayed at the Best Western SureStay in Corydon, Indiana, from October 2-5. Room 135 smelled strongly of mildew, the floors were badly stained, the bathroom ceiling paint was peeling, and the trim was rotting. One day, the water was shut off without any notice. There were fewer than five rooms occupied, by my estimate, so it was frustrating to be placed in such a dirty, poorly kept room. At first I thought all the rooms were like that, but after visiting family in other rooms, I saw theirs were much cleaner and better maintained. It was even more disappointing to learn better rooms were available but weren’t offered to us. Room 135 wasn’t acceptable by any standard. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel, especially when management puts guests in rooms that seem unfit to use while cleaner ones sit empty.

After being on the road all day, we needed a hot shower and a good night’s sleep. The bathtub was so gross I wouldn’t step into it, and the sheets had stains. The place was disgusting. We arrived to find nobody at the front desk, and had to wait for someone to return. I should’ve taken that as a sign. One of the drink vending machines was leaking some kind of dark brown sludge.
