The photography workshop was a highlight, and thanks to the instructor's help, we got to see the Northern Lights. We also loved the dinner, which was amazing. It was a short vacation, and being there early in the season meant peaceful time reading by a roaring fire, with pine trees all around. The hiking nearby is beautiful too, and it's worth listening to their suggestions for places to see.

The history and setting are still great, and they do take dogs, but this fourth visit was easily our most disappointing. The lodge has cut back most food and drink service: there's no bar now, and dinner is only available by appointment. Plan on eating in Copper Harbor. Prices have gone up dramatically since we were last here, so be ready to pay more for less.

We've been coming here for more than 20 years, and there have been some great improvements. The cabins are cozy, with a wonderful fireplace, and the golf course is beautiful. I really appreciate how they've kept the landscape natural, with no chemicals. John and the whole staff, thank you! This is a place for people who enjoy rustic surroundings and beautiful nature. It isn't The Hilton or some plush resort, and that's part of the appeal. You can relax and enjoy the natural setting, away from the usual city craziness. Bless you, and take care!

We loved being able to head out onto the course at night and look at the sky. It's a dark sky park, which made this a relaxing place to stay during our visit to copper harbor. The cabin was clean and pleasantly rustic, and having firewood included meant we could have a fire inside every night if we wanted. One of our favorite stays. We'll be back soon.

It was very nice overall, and we had a good time. Still, I would have preferred paying for breakfast and choosing what I wanted instead of having what Chef Wi had made. Chef was slow and spent too much time talking about nothing. John, her husband, was too busy to return my phone call.
