The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, and this made a lovely little staycation in our own beautiful Homer. The room was clean, cozy, and had a great view. We also loved the indoor fire stove. Dactyl the cat came to greet us, sweet as could be, though he kept his distance. We didn't make it to the hot tub or solarium this time, but I'd like to try them on another visit. Highly recommend.

The mountain and Kachemak Bay views were the highlight for me. Waking up to that scene each day was one of my favorite parts of the Alaska trip, and the setting felt quiet and private. The cabin itself was spotless, cozy, and ready with everything I needed, including wine glasses and a hot tub. It felt easy to settle in and relax. Evelyn had been in touch regularly during the six months before my trip, so planning from across the country was stress-free. She clearly takes pride in making guests feel cared for. I'd happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Homer.

The views are fantastic, and the place feels secluded and safe despite being near the highway. The hot tub is, well, accessible. Hah. Dogs have enough room for bathroom breaks and sniffing around, though there isn't much space to run, and no greenbelt or path down to the beach. It's pet friendly, too. The cabin isn't like a brand new house, but the shower does the job, and ours had laundry. Our dogs weren't fans of the full size Wolverine mount. Still, we had an amazing stay.

That little photo book about how the converted train car got there was such a fun detail. My fiancé and I really enjoyed cuddling up and looking through it. Evelyn had left the information we needed on the counter, and she was quick to respond whenever we messaged. The location was great, with a lovely morning view, and the bed's electric blanket meant it was always warm when we climbed in. We also left our cooler behind, and Evelyn let us come back and get it without any trouble. We saw the converted boat rental too, and can't wait to try it next time. One of our best Airbnb stays.

For five weeks I stayed here while helping my son, and Evelyn was always responsive and helpful. When our dates changed, she was flexible and worked with us on what we needed. The cabins were clean, with everything I needed, and though they're close to town, the property still feels quiet and private. From one spot you can take in the mountains, wildlife, glaciers, and water. I'd highly recommend the place and Evelyn, and hope to come back in summer.
