Chateaubleau Hotel

I paid for four days, but the first room was a mess: dog poop in a corner, a smell of cigarettes and ass, a grimy bathtub, a damp mini fridge, and a microwave with what looked like a two-month-old TV dinner inside, completely molded. I went downstairs and gave them the benefit of the doubt, saying maybe my room had been missed on the cleaning list. They moved me to another room, where I found splattered blood spots, stained sheets, unmade beds, towels on the floor, and dead, hopefully, bugs that might have been small roaches. The website photos are NOT THEIR PICTURES. The fountain is down the street and all.

I checked in, saw the room, and went straight back downstairs with the key to ask for a refund. There was an empty cigarette pack, pink pills on the floor, moldy food in the microwave, and dirty sheets with hair. They offered to move me, but the place was gross, so I didn’t see why another room would be any better. They refused the refund, and Hotels. Com wouldn’t refund me either. This was disgusting and shouldn’t be listed on third-party booking sites.

It’s pet friendly, the AC can be set nice and cool, and there’s a good range of amenities for families or friends hanging out. The WiFi is fast, the TV has plenty of channels and movies, and the balcony views are lovely. Housekeeping is attentive, too. The hotel is beautifully decorated and classy, but still feels more like a vacation home than a paid stay. The halls smell like roses, the restaurant feels luxurious and has clean bathrooms, and the bartenders are awesome. Front desk staff are kind, helpful, and considerate. There’s plenty to do outside, or you can swim in the lovely pool. Great for tourists or a local escape. I always have a spectacular time here and highly recommend it.

The restaurant inside the hotel was clean and very good. Our room was another story: it was filthy, the bed was horrible, and housekeeping never came, so my husband found a vacuum and did it himself. There was hair all over the bathroom and old toothpaste on the floor by the sink. The shower and bathtub were absolutely disgusting. My husband, son, his girlfriend, and I stayed two nights. Please don’t come here.
