My room was very clean and the staff were friendly. I don’t get all the hate this place gets. It is noisy, but that’s what you’d expect on a busy road. I’d recommend it if you’re on a budget.

Traffic kept me from getting a peaceful night’s sleep. The road noise made the building shake as vehicles passed. I also paid for parking, but several spaces were damaged or unusable, and there’s no guarantee of getting a spot since none are assigned. People park wherever they want, so you can pay and still have nowhere to park. That’s absurd. When I arrived with my 17-year-old daughter, I was told there’d be a $50 deposit and a $10 parking fee, neither of which I knew about from my Priceline booking. They charged the $50 instead of just holding it, taking the money before I even got my room. The room had no amenities, just one bath rag and two towels. When I asked for another rag, they said that was all they provided and wouldn’t give me more. At checkout the next morning, 30 minutes before checkout time, I asked about the deposit. The front desk modified the charge and told me to discuss it with my bank, even though they shouldn’t have charged my card in the first place. I still haven’t received the deposit back. This motel is disappointing, overpriced, and seriously misrepresented. I’ll never return or recommend it.

I had a wonderful time at this quaint little place and am heading back for a second stay. The rooms were nice, with a refrigerator but no microwave. The staff were extremely courteous and went out of their way to help. I’m looking forward to the same service again.

Simple, tidy, and fairly priced, with shower pressure strong enough to knock your hair off. Can’t complain, so I won’t. There’s no desk for white collar work and no microwave for Shah's Bazaar takeout. Dixie Highway is miserable to walk along, but Miller Road is safe and quiet day and night. On Dixie there’s a rice and beans place dressed up as a chicken shop, where you might meet someone with a pet turtle in a Tupperware container. With enough time, you could walk to Coconut Grove and the deep blue sea. If we can’t make Plan B work, we’re all doomed.
