Staybridge Suites Iowa City Coralville by IHG

The pool was nice, and the rooms and beds were comfortable. The pull-out sofa was about what you'd expect, and breakfast was adequate and clean. It's pet-friendly and well located for getting around the area. I'd rate it around 4.5, since everything was above average, and I'd definitely stay again.

We came to Iowa City for my dad’s medical procedure, and the stay turned out really well despite the reason for the trip. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the large, clean room had a full kitchen with a full-size fridge, stovetop, and microwave. Pots, pans, bowls, cups, and plates were provided, though there was no silverware. The building smelled fresh, kind of like perfume mixed with cleaning products. There’s a pool, fitness room, and free guest laundry, which was a big help. Parking is private but not fenced, and shops and places to eat are within walking distance. Definitely recommend 👌

There are lots of shops and restaurants you can walk to, and the hotel is dog-friendly with grassy areas nearby. Even though it’s in a busy area, our room was quiet and very clean. The staff were kind and attentive. We highly recommend it.

The room looked clean and decent, but the toilet had been used and left unflushed, which made me question how well the rest had been cleaned. They were fully booked, so I couldn't switch rooms. At check-in, I was also told that the room type I’d reserved three weeks earlier had run out, and they had to move me to a different type. Hopefully the rest of the stay goes better.
