Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Corinth South Denton Area

This is one of my favorite hotels in Denton, Texas, probably my second favorite in town and in my top five. Every couple of weeks I take a little three-day staycation for a break. You can get a great rate if you book on a Monday or Tuesday. The gym is open 24 hours, the staff are laid-back, and the location is perfect. Just a great place.

Breakfast really made our stay. The staff did an amazing job with lots of choices and ingredients for little recipes you can put together yourself. It was displayed so well, and everywhere looked clean and tidy. Sometimes hotel breakfast is a drag, but I was impressed here. My partner and I were just passing through and decided to try the place. Check-in was smooth after a very nice greeting from the front desk associate, whose name I forgot. The rooms were great and chilly for sleeping. The beds were pretty standard, but the place felt clean, which can matter more than paying a lot more elsewhere. Well done to the staff for keeping guests comfortable.

I booked the rate that said it included late checkout, then learned at check-in that the benefit only applies at an arbitrary membership level. They wouldn't make an exception, and local escalation wasn't available. Late checkout was my only appealing reason for choosing this hotel, so this added stress to the trip. Our room door had a gap in the frame big enough to fit fingers through, and sound came right in. The listed EV chargers are Tesla (NACS) only. WiFi is capped at 10Mbps in 2025.

The hotel was clean, and breakfast was better than most I've had. Our room faced the interstate and was loud, so ask for one on the other side. The heat was on and there was no air, leaving the room excessively hot. The front desk manager said the system hadn't worked overnight, though it did just before checkout in the morning. Too bad, because I would've rated the stay higher.
