We often stop here on the way to and from the gulf, and the fresh baked cookies used to be a nice treat after a long drive. On the trip down, the front desk woman said she hadn't had time to make them. Disappointing, but no big deal. Two weeks later on our way back, same story. At 8 a.m. I went down for breakfast and found empty trays. I asked when more food would be put out; the desk woman went to check but didn't come back. Fifteen minutes later the trays were still empty. When I asked again, she said a big group had eaten everything and there was nothing to cook until tomorrow. It was a Tuesday and the rate was $255 a night. She was nice and said she'd adjust our bill, but never did. What's going on? Are services being cut to pay for the renovations? At least this location of Holiday Inn seems to be going downhill, so it's time to find somewhere else to stay.

Around 2 a.m., I called to extend my stay and Tyler at the front desk was incredibly helpful. I'd made the extension through Priceline, which apparently creates a new reservation instead of a true extension, so we might have had to change rooms. With a 9 a.m. commitment and no certainty we'd be back before checkout, that would've been a huge hassle. Tyler patiently explained what was going on and found a way for us to keep the same room. Really appreciate his help and problem-solving, thank you, Tyler!

The breakfast setup and selection were the best I've seen at any hotel I've stayed in. The staff were friendly and professional while treating you like family. By far my best hotel experience. I'll stay here on future trips to the area and would highly recommend it to others visiting.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the full hot breakfast was great. My room was spacious and very clean, the bed was comfortable, and I slept really well. I'm impressed with this location.

It's a pretty standard Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that I wish breakfast had more variety.
