Quality Inn Corinth

The bathroom fan brought cigarette smoke into the room whenever I switched on the light, apparently from people smoking in other rooms. The jet tub also had yellow growth in it, and there was dust and debris left by previous guests. My husband is in Corinth for work and needed a long-term rental, so I came to visit. He'd warned me to bring sandals because he wouldn't recommend going barefoot in the room. Housekeeping is two elderly people who wipe the bathroom and kitchenette sink with one rag and sweep with a broom. When I asked to borrow a vacuum, they said, “We use broom.” It seems the hotel doesn't have any. I ordered a small vacuum from Amazon and bought cleaning supplies at Walmart. The staff seem nice, but they haven't been able or willing to improve things. I feel awful for anyone who has to stay in this filthy hotel. They are building another room block, so it seems their focus is on that instead of the health and safety of current guests.

I booked directly at the front desk, not through a third party, so I expected a refund when I asked for one. I checked in last night, 2/21/26, and found a large, unmistakable bed bug on the bedding when I pulled back the blanket. We left the room right away and reported it at the desk. They told me to call back today. When I called in the late morning, nobody was available to help, and I was told the manager would call within an hour. I still haven't heard from them. I've stayed here several times over the years without an issue, but this was really disappointing. At the very least, I expected a return call.

The staff are pretty consistent, and the WiFi works. I'm here for debris removal, and the place is what I expected, a good spot for workers staying for a while. Breakfast is okay, neither great nor bad. The pool is closed right now, presumably for the season. A few places are within walking distance, including Mexican food, donuts, Waffle House, and Cracker Barrel.

I asked at the desk if they'd like to see pictures of the problems. They didn't. I asked if they could do anything, and they said no, I was checking out. Customer service noted everything and said they'd escalate it to upper management, but there was no resolution or caring attitude. I've been a member since 2012, and this place doesn't meet even the brand's minimum standards. Housekeeping and maintenance badly need attention. I arrived exhausted at 9:30pm, and the customer service person was nowhere to be found for 10 minutes. He rushed in, saying he'd been helping a guest. He confirmed the room was non-smoking. After cleaning up and checking the bed, I fell asleep, but woke half an hour later to men arguing in Spanish outside. That stopped soon, though doors kept slamming. At 6am, the bath fan was covered in dust. Turning it off also turned off the light; the lamp bulbs were burnt out. The tub caulk had mildew, and there was a puddle by the tub and on the floor. Mold was growing about 4” up the wall, so it had apparently been leaking for quite some time. The overflow drain had green algae and hair. The wall molding was off about 4”, with trash, chips, and dirt behind it. There was dirt and dust behind both beds, ants by the mini fridge, and a spider with dead bugs near the entry. The coffee maker was filthy, too.
