Comfort Inn & Suites Lake Norman

We'd never tried this hotel before, but my wife and I needed a halfway stop on our Florida trip and decided to give it a shot. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was just right, too. Nothing especially stood out, but the price was very reasonable. There's somewhere to eat within walking distance, which is handy if you're around Charlotte and want a comfortable, clean place with a good hot breakfast. And no, I'm not AI or being paid to say this, in case you're wondering.

It's in a quiet spot, a little tucked away. The hotel allows pets, which is a plus, and everything from the room and bathroom to the shared areas was clean. The rooms and suites are pretty nice. Our suite had a useful office area, a sofa, and its own TV.

The location was great, and the front desk person was really helpful and friendly. The room itself was clean, too. But I barely slept. The walls let through everything from neighboring rooms, and the AC made a loud, clanky noise whenever it kicked on. I had asked for a noon late checkout and was told that was fine, but housekeeping knocked at 11:30 even though I had put out the do not disturb hanger. One of my worst hotel stays.

The one thing that bothered me was the air conditioner blowing straight onto the bed. Otherwise, I was very comfortable in this cozy hotel. My king room was spotless, and the staff deserve thanks, especially the people doing the hard work of cleaning the rooms.
