Motel 6 Fargo Nd West Acres North Fargo

The smell hit us as soon as we entered the room: stale air, cigarettes, and who knows what else. We lasted less than 20 minutes. The room was at least passively clean, but despite the “non-smoking” rules and signs on every room door, people were clearly smoking inside. Someone was vaping on the stairs, and several people were smoking by the entrance. Hall lights flickered, and it felt like a horror movie. Outside, loud, aggressive people who didn't seem to be guests harassed us more than once. Management seemed indifferent. There was no security, no staff presence, nothing to help guests feel safe. When I raised it, the desk attendant offered to come find another room and upgrade us, but the stay couldn't be salvaged. They still wouldn't refund us despite our complaints about cleanliness and safety. We left more stressed than when we came. Don't stay here if you're considering it. Spend extra for somewhere that doesn't make you worry about your safety or your lungs.

There were dirty socks in our bed, the trash hadn't been taken out, and we had no towels. I decided to check out early, but the woman at the desk kept helping other people even though I was there before them. She said her computer or login wasn't working, but she continued serving everyone. The customer service was really poor.

I made it one hour, then packed up at midnight and slept in my car. The whole hotel smelled of mildew and cigarettes, sketchy people lingered outside all night, and half the room lights didn't work. The AC was broken too. My shoes stuck to patches on the floor, and the sheets were stained. I only noticed the stains after pulling off the covers when I saw bedbugs crawling near my head. The staff were horrible and completely oblivious to what was going on. They refused to refund my stay. I wouldn't hesitate to give this place zero stars. I hope it's shut down so nobody else has to stay here. DO NOT STAY HERE!

A smoke alarm went off all night, and I couldn't call the office because the room phone was broken. There were hairs on the bedsheets, and rocks were holding the hotel's exterior doors open, so anyone from the street could have walked in. I felt so unsafe I couldn't sleep. I arrived at 2 AM and left first thing in the morning. I really would have left sooner if it hadn't been so late. I've traveled extensively and never stayed somewhere this bad. Honestly, this place is in such awful shape that I think it should be shut down.
