Jasper Hotel

The restaurant staff were warm and attentive, and the food was excellent. They deserve credit, but it was hard to enjoy the meal when I felt hotel management was talking about us behind our backs and making the atmosphere hostile. My family and I had a disappointing stay because of the manager’s behavior. After the front desk associate gave us misleading information about a hold on my credit card, the manager, short with dark hair and a mustache, was rude and refused to take responsibility. We later learned the manager was staying on the fourth floor, where my whole family needed rooms, and saw them gossiping about us with another associate. That was completely unprofessional. We paid $200 for a room with two queens, and it wasn’t worth it, especially after our previous night at Bruhala, where the service was outstanding and we got a suite for $150. I’m even considering disputing the credit card charge because of how badly this was handled. I can’t recommend this hotel and won’t be back.

After a 14-hour drive from Alberta, Canada, we checked in at 12:30 AM on the 30th, ready to start the New Year at Jasper Hotel. The team was accommodating even at that hour, and the prairie chic, design-focused lobby immediately felt welcoming. The front desk made check-in easy, and every chat, whether about local spots or just passing the time, felt warm and genuine. We were in Fargo to watch our son play hockey, and the hotel restaurant made New Year’s Eve special with a great dinner and live music. The servers were friendly and eager to help. As frequent travelers, we’d call this boutique Midwestern hotel and its food world-class. Our room was gorgeous, with an unreal view, modern design balanced by cozy comfort, beautiful tile, and local artist details that made it feel like a little sanctuary. People around Fargo were friendly too, which added so much to the celebration. I can’t recommend Jasper Hotel enough for the service, design, and warm atmosphere.

The food was really good and came in large portions, but the restaurant service was poor. Our waitress never brought my orange juice or checked in, and we waited ages for the bill even though it wasn’t busy. The coffee tasted like hot water. The room, though, was fantastic.

For a local hotel, it was well worth staying here. I’m more used to Hilton or Marriott, but I’d happily return next time I’m in town. Great location, a spacious clean room, and exceptional service made it a 10/10 stay.
