SpringHill Suites by Marriott Corona Riverside

I booked the room so we'd have somewhere to stay for the night after Glenn Ivy spa, which was amazing. Everything seemed okay at first. It was late after the spa, and we were relaxed and tired, so we went straight to bed. We got up early for the continental breakfast, then saw two very large roaches on the wall. We grabbed our things and checked out early. I told the front desk, and the employee said the manager wasn't there that day but promised it would be handled promptly. She gave me corporate contacts, and I got in touch right away. Someone called me back, and I explained that pests had forced us to cut our stay short. Since I paid with Marriott points, I was told they couldn't return the points but would refund the room cost. More than three weeks have passed with no refund and no further contact since that first call. This is unacceptable. Think twice about booking here, or just don't do it.

Lisa at the front desk handled a room issue promptly and gracefully. She moved us to a room right across the hall, so the switch was seamless and hardly bothered us. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail stood out. We had a wonderful stay at SpringHill Suites, and Lisa's excellent service is why we'll definitely be back.

Be ready to hear the freeway all night. The rooms are nice, but breakfast selection sucks. Who serves corn dogs for breakfast? No waffle station, watery oatmeal, no fruit, and sausage that looks like mystery meat.

I never felt safe in this hotel as a woman. My company had arranged the stay, and I was put in first-floor room 101, right near a back entrance with lots of traffic and people loitering. I didn't feel safe even being seen going into or out of the room. There was literally a two-inch gap under the door, so anyone could put something underneath and try to open it. I asked several desk workers two or three times to move my room. A female desk worker flatly told me no. I finally managed to get moved to another hotel. On my way out, coworkers asked why I was leaving, and I told them the truth. The desk lady saw me and acted as if I was talking trash and making false claims. Then suddenly she had a big smile and offered my coworkers free water, as if to show them she was nice and keep them as customers. It felt fake, undermining, and condescending. I'll never stay at this location again when I'm in town, and I don't recommend it. Beware, look elsewhere.
