The 1906 Lodge was such a good surprise. It has that Dragonfly Inn feeling, and staying there cost a fraction of the Del while still being just a block away. My room was spotless and felt like a fancy guest room from Bridgerton, only with a TV. I felt safe, welcome, and right at home. They include breakfast and happy hour bites, too. Kelly, Lexi, and Monse were so kind. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.

We'd read all the five-star reviews before coming, so my husband and I arrived with high expectations. They were met. The rooms were beautiful and very clean, the cookies on arrival were lovely, and breakfast was great. Monse at reception was a delight, and we could walk everywhere. If we're back in San Diego, we'll stay at the 1906 Lodge again. Thanks so much.

Coronado turned out to be a pleasant place to wander around, and the bay ferry, only a short walk from the hotel, made getting across the water fun and memorable. One route lands by the USS Midway near Little Italy; the shorter one goes to Petco Park and the Gaslamp quarter. We chose this place because the downtown hotels in San Diego didn't appeal to us. We got a complimentary upgrade to a spa king room with a large TV, whirlpool tub, and roomy, well-equipped bathroom. Breakfast was freshly served on the outdoor patio each morning, and complimentary coffee was available from 7am. Check-in was friendly, and the secure garage is just around the corner. Book directly with 1906 Lodge, and follow their directions for driving there. Your car or phone app may send you across a very busy one-way street, which is easy to avoid. The hotel has everything we needed, with great hospitality and value.

We made use of the free bikes and rode on trails that were very close by. Downtown Coronado, including Del Coronado Hotel, is also an easy walk. We had a great stay at 1906 Lodge, with comfortable rooms, and the breakfast and happy hours were outstanding.

It was my first time on Coronado, and I'm so glad I chose the 1906. The suite was incredible, the courtyard was really nice, and the popular beach areas were easy to reach on foot. Everyone on staff was friendly. Definitely coming back, A+!
