Hampton Inn & Suites Corpus Christi I-37 - Navigat

The breakfast was actually quite good, but the rest of the stay was bad. The lobby and front desk made a decent first impression, yet the room was a different story. The carpet was dirty, matted, and stained, and I found bugs on the bed covers. I told the front desk right away, but they had no other rooms. They only offered clean covers and a sheet, which wasn’t reassuring. The next morning there was no running water. The front desk said the city had no water pressure. Of all the Hampton Inns I’ve stayed at, this was by far the worst. The room cleanliness is unacceptable, and I can’t recommend this place.

I especially liked the renovation since I was here last year. The place is a lot more high tech now, and I didn’t see any bugs in the room during our 3 days, unlike the water bugs last year. The bed was comfortable, and there’s cold water in a dispenser in the lobby. The pool setup is nice, and breakfast was pretty good, though the yogurt they put out said June 21, 2025 and it was already July 13, 2025. The bathroom needed work. There was hair in the tub, a dry, crunchy face towel on the shower curtain, and brown spots on the toilet, which I cleaned with supplies. The wall soap dispenser wasn’t pushed in all the way, hung out of the wall, and fell off after a few presses, so it sat on the counter for our whole stay. The pillows were as flat as a flat crust pizza 😂. Staff seemed mostly helpful, but they didn’t keep their entertainment to themselves. They shouted during phone calls and laughed loudly at the front desk. Around 6:20am I was waiting to ask a question. A woman said hello and nodded, then kept finishing her call and laughing at whatever the other person said before ending it. That didn’t seem professional to me. Maybe they think it’s fine to leave guests waiting while they watch movies on their phones or do whatever else.

The breakfast buffet was hot, fresh, and stayed stocked, and we felt comfortable with the amenities. Our rooms were clean and spacious, and the AC kept us freezing. But if we tried to change the temperature by even one degree, the whole unit shut off. The chair was very worn and stained and really should be replaced. There was a power outage for over 30 minutes, but we made the best of it by spending time at the pool. The pool bathroom needed a better clean, and the pool area towel holders were empty, so I had to run to the front desk to get towels for my family. We might not book here again.

We stayed from Friday to Monday and our room was never cleaned. The sheets, covers, and pillowcases were damp when we arrived, and we never got clean, dry replacements. Water pressure was so low it was hard to shower properly, brush our teeth, or wash our hands. The bathroom faucet was broken, and we had to wedge a bar of soap in place to stop it from closing. We were very unsatisfied.
