Hampton Inn & Suites Corpus Christi

We stayed two nights because my 94 year old uncle had passed away and we were there for his funeral. We’d driven about 6 hrs from Livingston,TX the night before, so after the lock trouble we were too tired and it was too late to find somewhere else. The night clerk was very apologetic and helped move us to the 3rd floor, where the locks worked. We never heard from the manager and didn’t even get a discount for all the trouble. We’ll never use Hampton Inn & Suites again. We were told the 4th floor had just been remodeled, but the shower door was squiggly and didn’t look new at all. After returning from the viewing at 9pm, I pushed our door and it opened without my key. We’d slept all night with it like that without realizing. We were furious and went down to speak with the night clerk. She called the manager after trying the locks herself. The manager told her to tell us to use the dead bolt, but that didn’t work either. She tried several other rooms and all had the same problem.

Jennifer made everything easy, explaining each detail, and the team gave us a late checkout. Thanks also to bre for taking the time to get us here. It’s beautiful, and the hot tub is just right. The price was very good. God Bless each and everyone of you. We’ll be booking over and over again.

Breakfast was the best my family and I have had so far, and we liked the roomy room, blackout curtains, ice machine on the 4th floor, and plenty of free parking on site. It’s a decent hotel for the price. We were barely greeted when we arrived, though they took care of us quickly. There was a musty smell at first, like the carpet had been wet for a long time, but somehow it was gone after the first day. The toilet and shower hadn’t been cleaned well.

You can walk across the street to the beach, and the location is great. Parking is provided, and they offer breakfast. The rooms were clean, and the service was extremely friendly and helpful.
