The pool was nice, and there are bathrooms in the pool area, though they aren’t marked. We didn’t know about them until another guest pointed them out. Staff checked us in easily and kindly moved us closer to the elevator since stairs weren’t an option for me. The maid service was nice and came around the same time each day, making sure we had what we needed. The location is handy, with plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. But the third floor smelled awful, apparently from cooking in the kitchenette rooms getting into the hallway carpet. Our room smelled strongly of mold, the kitchenette was greasy and sticky, and my husband found a moldy pillow under its case. The beds weren’t comfortable, and we killed two German roaches in the room.

Most of our stay was fine, until management went into our room to start cleaning before we’d checked out, without telling us. Our belongings were still inside and we could still access the room. That’s unacceptable and very poor form. What if my wife had been changing, or I’d been dealing with private medical needs?

We stayed just one night. The room was clean, the staff were very friendly, and it was definitely worth the price.

The rooms had roaches and Silverfish, and mold covered my bathroom walls and even got on my clothes. I stayed a month and the older cleaning staff hardly ever cleaned my room. The staff were rude, and when I went to the front desk I got bad looks for no reason. At 3:00 AM, someone kept knocking on my door, and there was no security. The air conditioner was a mess, and nobody explained how to use it except to keep it at 70. It made so much humidity that I had an inch of water across the whole floor. I’m not exaggerating. I finally just used Fan. Cars cut illegally through the parking lot, and one day I nearly got run over while trying to get out of my car. I told staff, who are supposed to monitor this, but they didn’t seem interested. I also lost my glasses and think staff came into my room and took them. I tried to complain to corporate and got nowhere. I was unhappy at this terrible motel. They need new staff to improve the guest experience. Other Studio 6 locations I’ve enjoyed aren’t like this, so avoid this one. Please avoid this House of Horrors!
