Sea Shell Inn Motel

The owners, a husband and wife, were super nice and helpful. When the satellite TV service went out, they came right away to repair it. It's an older motel with a few cosmetic issues, but nothing major. For being right on Corpus Christi Bay beach, it's very affordable. I parked my car on the first day and walked everywhere.

I've never seen rooms this bad. There were spiderwebs to clear away, and I killed three black widows. The pillows had mold and yellow stains, and the sheets were disgusting, dirty, and stinky. The place is falling apart. I don't know how the city hasn't shut it down.

This place is right near the beach, but it doesn't feel safe at all. The floors are sagging, and there's caution tape underneath the parking area where the floor or roof is falling down. It's deteriorating and probably has mold. Why would they let anyone stay here? Don't book. Look at the caution tape pictures carefully.

The second room they offered was just as bad, so we asked for a full refund and decided to drive home that night. They never refunded us, and instead emailed a $35 credit for their establishment. The room was filthy, with baseboards and trim that clearly hadn't been wiped in a month or two. The bathtub was broken and rusty, and the structural damage made us fear the place could collapse. We called ahead to ask about early check-in and were told yes, but at arrival they said it would cost an extra $100. Definitely do not book here. -2/10 would NOT recommend.
