Harbor Inn Bayfront

We were there for less than 24 hours, and leaving was the best part. The pictures on the website didn't match what we got. The room smelled like pee, everything was grimy, and the sheets were stained or dirty, so we didn't sleep in the beds. The pool had a strange film around the water's edge. They were stingy with towels, too, and even expected a “walk through” before checkout, as if the room were pristine when we left. It was yuck. You can see the shore if you put blinders on to everything around you.

The location is great, with a good view of either the ocean or the city depending on your side of the building. The nightly rates were really good for somewhere so close to the beach, so I'll keep it in mind for our next trip. The bed was super comfortable, the AC worked really well, and there were no bed bugs. Parking was a little difficult because the lot is small, but it wasn't impossible. It looked a bit sketchy at first, though it really wasn't bad.

We booked this for one night and found the front of the hotel had chunks of concrete missing. There was no breakfast at all, and the pool was closed for Covid, though I'm not sure that was the real reason. A guest dragged chairs out of their room and blocked part of the walkway while playing music loudly at night. People were also drag racing right in front of the hotel on Shoreline Blvd. There were four adults in our party and we got only two shower towels. We'll stay somewhere else next time.

The room was musty and smelly, with awful decor, roaches and roach droppings, and a blurry TV despite being a flat screen. There was no breakfast and no working pool access. The price was horrible for what we got, and we couldn't even park on the property because the lot was full before 9 p.m. Don't overpay for this place.
