La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Corpus Christi North

The bed was comfy, the sheets were clean, and that LED mirror was awesome. Everything felt clean and comfortable, and it was really quiet. Breakfast was great too. Patricia, I think that was the front desk lady’s name, was so nice, polite, and helpful. Ten out of ten.

I won’t stay here again. We were in a handicap room, and it smelled strongly of dog pee as soon as we walked in. I was so upset I couldn’t sleep well, and the bed springs poked through enough to make it hard to lie down and rest. People had parked across the middle of the handicap spaces, so I couldn’t get into the hotel in my wheelchair. Please clean the carpet and make the place more welcoming.

The location worked well, with Denny’s in the same lot and convenience stores nearby, and parking was easy. The staff we met were friendly. Inside, though, the vending and ice machines were out of order, and the stairwell light was off, leaving it dark. The room could’ve been cleaner. Sheets and blankets had stains, and there were long hairs on the pillows. One bed sagged inward, obvious just from looking at it, and dead, dusty crickets were in the corners.

Breakfast was basically stale cereal, warm watery milk, and waffles. Around the pool, every piece of furniture was broken, and trash was everywhere. The rooms were filthy and moldy, with stained linens. It’s in a terrible neighborhood, with vagrants all around. Everything felt dingy or broken. I can’t believe this is part of the Wyndham chain. When we wanted to leave for another place, they absolutely refused to refund us. The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
