The front clerk was really nice, understanding, and helpful. The place was pretty quiet, and the heater and AC worked, but that’s about where the good points end. The first impression was rough, with lots of homeless people around, and the building looked run down and creepy. The room felt like a haunted hotel room, though it was cleaner than I expected. It’s right by a highway, so it can be loud. The beds are very hard, there was a funky smell, the lights weren’t great, and there were hardly any places to plug things in. The online listing is inaccurate, and we paid more than it showed. If you’re trying to save a few dollars, you could stay here, but if you can spend a bit more for better value, I’d go somewhere else.

The room was disgusting: stained sheets, dust everywhere, dead bugs on the table and TV stand, and a Dino chicken nugget box folded up to prop the mini fridge level. The toilet shrieked so loudly it kept us awake. When we checked out the next morning, I tried speaking to the office guy, but he was rude and slammed the window in my face. I wouldn’t recommend this at all. When my family and I arrived, there were homeless and drunk people in the parking lot. I had to ring the doorbell three times before anyone came out to check me in. I told the employee that my uncle, the third adult on our reservation, had a service dog for epilepsy. He asked for paperwork I didn’t have because my uncle was at the hospital with my dying grandma. Once I explained that, he stopped arguing and gave us a ground-floor room.

The bed was rock hard, there were hardly any blankets, and the room felt dark and gloomy. Bugs were in the bathroom, the ice machine was broken, and the shower wouldn’t turn on. For $100 a night, I expected better than what felt like a trap house of a hotel. The family running it seemed to cut corners and not care, with no customer service skills at all. My key wouldn’t work until I went to the front desk three separate times. We tried to get help with the shower, but nobody was at the desk and no one answered the phone, so we had to keep traveling without a shower. Just awful. Spend an extra $20 somewhere else, and avoid this place.

I’m writing this on my mom’s behalf. She said not to stay here. Her first room was dirty, so they moved her, then charged extra because the second room was called an “upgrade” to a king room. There were people sleeping in tents right next to the hotel, and scratches on the door that looked clearly like someone had tried to break into the rooms. Front desk service was minimal, and there’s no phone in the room to reach the desk.

I expected little from a cheap room, but it was surprisingly quiet despite being between two roads, and the room was very large. The bed was comfortable too. My only complaint was the plumbing: the shower drained slowly, the toilet was slow, and the water wasn’t hot enough.
