The cafe meal was a real bright spot after a stressful few days. I told the woman there about my allergies, and she brought out a surprisingly great meal. My lady and I had come in needing to recharge both our RV batteries and ourselves after a difficult trip to pick up the RV. The sisters who run the place were incredibly helpful, even offering supplies we weren't sure we'd find on a Sunday afternoon. Check-in was quick, and the whole place had a great feel. Once we were settled and hooked up, we grabbed something to eat and felt such a sense of relief. It may not be a fancy resort, but it really was an oasis in the desert, in both senses. I can't comment on the teepees or rooms, but I can vouch for the friendly service. We've bookmarked it as somewhere to return to, rather than just an emergency RV stop. We can't thank your family enough!

The room had spiders in the corners, hair on the sheets, and what looked like bed bugs on the bed. I was horrified by the condition of the bedding. The fridge was also filthy, with old stains and grime. One light fixture didn't work, and the bathroom had no hand soap. Even the toilet paper was barely half-used. For the price, especially in such a remote area, I expected much better. My stay at Olancha Resort in Death Valley was awful, and I wouldn't recommend it. I'd avoid this place.

We spent one night at the RV park while traveling from Death Valley to Sequoia. Our site had full hookups, including sewer, and there were showers and laundry facilities. The setting was quiet and felt safe, with lovely mountain views. At the Cafe, the friendly hostess welcomed us and we ordered burgers after hiking in Death Valley. My mushroom Swiss burger came with a GF bagel instead of a GF bun, which might have become my new favorite bun. My hubby liked his patty melt, and we both enjoyed the hand-cut seasoned fries.

The tipi was about the experience and the simplicity, and it was worth it. It's not a luxury hotel, and the restrooms and showers are shared, though you still get privacy. My wife and I would come back.

We pulled straight into a full-hookup RV site, then had dinner at the cafe. The patty melts were great, and the seasoned fries were really good too. Getting on and off the 395 was easy. I'd recommend it.
