Hampton Inn & Suites Clearwater Beach

We were in room 1007 at the Hampton Inn & Suites Clearwater Beach from February 23rd-25th, 2026. The location right on the water was a real highlight, and we even spotted two dolphins from the property. The in-house restaurant's hot honey pepperoni pizza is to die for. Breakfast was solid, too. We appreciated how clean the rooms, lobby, pool, and hot tub were, and the staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout. The beds were my biggest problem. Mine squeaked when I moved, and the mattress was so firm it felt like springs were pressing into pressure points. I didn't sleep well, even though the atmosphere was otherwise calm and relaxing. Some smaller upkeep details need attention as well: there were a few mold spots at the top left of the bathroom door frame when facing the closed door, the hair dryer could use a deep clean around the back vent, and the conditioner bottle was empty on our first day. The front desk replaced it quickly when we called, but it would have been nice to have it filled before check-in. The towels were clean but rough, small, and not very fluffy. The sheets felt rough and scratchy too. Better towels, higher thread count sheets, and replacement mattresses would make a difference, along with fixing those little maintenance issues. I'd rate the hotel 4 out of 5 stars. The location and cleanliness make me want to return, and with those upgrades it could be a 5-star experience. We'd certainly come back, and hope management takes this as constructive feedback.

My son loved the warm, heated pool, even though the air was chilly, and the beach staff told us where to look for the best shells in the morning. We could also ride the trolley for free because we were staying there. The room had comfortable beds, lots of space, and a great beach view. Parking was easy to figure out, and the free breakfast was as expected. My son would like Fruit Loops next time 😏. We were at the Hampton on Clearwater Beach for a couple of days before going to Orlando, and I wish we could have stayed longer. Every staff member we met was pleasant and kind. On checkout morning the manager offered to let my four-year-old feed their turtles, and the front desk associate sent him off with a pack of Swedish fish. That's the kind of thoughtful staff they have here. We had a really great stay and will come back when we're in the area.

The rooftop was a highlight of our one-night stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Clearwater Beach. We had a cocktail and light appetizers there while watching the sunset. Breakfast the next morning was really good, and Greg at the front desk was especially great, going above and beyond. We didn't swim because it was chilly, though the heated pool and hot tub had plenty of people in them, and we wished we'd brought swimsuits. The room felt a bit dated, but it had a very comfortable bed, a large updated bathroom, and a small balcony we loved. The hotel was quiet, and the whole experience was awesome. We'll definitely come back to Clearwater.

The beds felt hard to me, though I have bad joints and may have felt that more acutely. It didn't keep me from getting out and doing things. The beach was clean, quiet, and well organized, with good value for the chairs and umbrella, plus a nearby bar that makes good drinks. The pool, hot tub, and breakfast were great. We liked the short walk to the marina, pier, and attractions, without having all that noise right outside the hotel. Everyone we dealt with was wonderful and friendly, from the front desk and breakfast staff to maintenance when the laundry washer broke. All were a 10/10. I'd definitely recommend this place.
