Check-in and checkout went smoothly, and some of the staff were helpful. The property has been refreshed and my room itself was in good condition. Cleanliness in the halls and room could still be better, though, and several basic items were missing: no in-room coffee maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, or blackout curtains. The lack of blackout curtains especially affected my sleep. It wasn't a bad stay, but more consistent cleaning and basic amenities would make it better.

I had two big cockroaches crawling up the bathroom wall. I was looking at the renovations, apparently that's not allowed, and got kicked out for it. Now they're trying not to refund me. There was nothing in the big book of rules saying you couldn't be on certain floors or look at anything. I'm not paying $400.00 plus a hundred-dollar deposit for one night in that dump. The renovations you're doing won't change the biggest problems there: the cockroaches and the so-called unprofessional, grungy-looking, greasy-haired GM and his rotten-toothed assistant. They threatened to call the cops, so let them. When the police arrive, make your own police report about them. They'll just say it's a civil matter and ask you to leave. They're such scammers. I'm pretty sure they keep your hard-earned money. It seems they've figured out how to scam people through their system and pocket the rest. I've filed a complaint with the better business bureau. Reddit is next, then I'm calling the corporation.

I planned to stay a week, but seeing the bugs ended that idea. First I spotted a fairly large cockroach on the kitchen counter when I switched on the light. After going out for a cigarette, I saw another crawling right in front of my door. The room also had an unpleasant chemical smell, and parking was limited. The woman who checked me in was friendly, but she gave me a rule book that seemed ridiculous and suggested things must happen there. She also said every visitor had to register at the desk. If I had visitors, they'd be family, and I wouldn't invite them into such an infested place, especially not my grandbabies. I don't see why visitors at a room they're not staying in need to register. It felt like they were treating guests as if they might be America's most wanted suspects. I don't think who I talk to is their business. Apart from the bugs, the bogus policy, and the smell, they might be all right. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I love. I used to clean hotel rooms, and leaving someone's pubic hair on the toilet or in the tub was a no-no. I couldn't bring myself to get under those covers and hoped I didn't take any of their little cockroach friends with me. Please do better. This is a sanitation issue, and I'd close the place until it was fixed. It seems like this has been going on for quite some time. No bueno.

The comfortable bed was a plus, and I didn't see any bugs at all. The room had a regular-size fridge, stovetop, and microwave, but you'll need to bring your own silverware, plates, and cookware. The bathroom was a decent size, with good shower pressure, though some repairs are needed. There seemed to be water damage on the tub ceiling, and the fan was full of dust. The room had an odor, and the bedding smelled like a dog. The pillows were stained and smelly and should be washed or replaced. There was no carpet, just laminate flooring that felt a little iffy barefoot. Maybe they could offer cheap slippers and use a steam mop on the floors. The drive in felt a bit sketchy, with poor lighting at night, and the packed lot had what looked like some broken-down cars. Maybe their owners could move them somewhere less noticeable on the property. The woman who checked us in was mopping floors and cleaning. For the price we paid, we'll come again.

We were in town for a Nebraska game, and most hotels were either sold out or too expensive, so we picked this place. I regret it. The whole stay felt unhygienic and uncomfortable, and I wish I could contact WoodSpring as a whole because I think a refund is warranted. Walking onto the second floor, I was hit by a strong, unpleasant odor that just smelled dirty. The room wasn't much better: the floors were dirty, the phone and TV didn't work, and the towels had visible stains even though they were technically clean. The parking lot felt unsafe at night, and basic things like band-aids and a hair dryer weren't available. I'm not usually one to complain, but this was the worst hotel experience I've had.
