Days Inn Covington

We stayed two quiet nights, and room 113 was clean and felt modern. The coffee maker worked well, and breakfast included sausage and biscuits. At 9 p.m. on Thursday June 5, the front desk woman seemed distracted or cold at first. Once I let her finish what she was doing, she warmed up and was very helpful.

The night was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and check-in and checkout were quick and easy. We didn’t use the pool or other amenities. For the price, it was worth the one night we needed, though we’d probably choose somewhere else for a longer stay. The room was tidy overall, but the bathroom walls and door were visibly dirty, and the soap, shampoo, and conditioner bottles were empty. The free breakfast wasn’t anything special. The packaged muffins were better than the cooked food, which may have been because the staff on duty seemed clearly high.

I found a bug on my pillow and took it to the front desk, where I was given another room. The next morning, the manager came to my room banging and yelling that I had to pay for the other room because I was lying and they never had bugs. The manager’s attitude was way out of line. I believe they have bedbugs, and the place was horrible. I’ll never return or tell anyone to go there.

The desk clerk was sweet and friendly, but the stay was a disappointment. There was no phone in my room, the bedding had holes, and I had cockroaches for company when I’d only expected my daughter. Someone was also smoking weed just down the hall from my room.
