Holiday Inn Hotel And Suites Covington

The lobby was huge, and the pool area looked lovely, though I didn't actually use the pool. I found the room clean and cool, and the complimentary breakfast in the restaurant/lounge was nice. The one downside was the AC units were pretty loud. Still, given the choice between noisy air conditioning and none at all, I'll take the noise every time.

We came for the Saint Tammany Toy and Comic convention this past weekend, and it turned out to be a nicer outing than we expected. The hotel had two conference rooms set up, which were bigger than we thought, and some of the event also used the lobby. The staff we met were helpful and very nice. The place was pleasant, and it sounded and smelled like there was an indoor pool.

Check-in and checkout were easy, and the gated entrance made the place feel secure. The staff were kind, the room and lobby were clean, and they welcomed my service dog without any problem. The doors don't block much sound, so people walking past sounded like they were right beside us. It was quiet most of the time, though, since neither room next to ours was occupied. I had a great stay.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, and I think it's good value. The restaurant is okay, but could use some improvement. I keep coming back because I love staying here, and the front desk staff are friendly, helpful, and the atmosphere is great. With all the palms around, it feels tropical, and the courtyard and lobby have a nice setup with sofas and a fireplace.
