Days Inn by Wyndham Covington

The staff are the best part. They’ve always treated me with respect and have been quick to help whenever I needed something. The Day's Inn by Wyndham in Covington, Georgia is my usual choice when family or friends visit, or when I need a quick, clean, safe place for the night.

Some rooms feel a bit dated, but they’re clean. My few interactions with the staff have been pleasant, and the price seems fair for this level of accommodation. I’ve stayed here a few times after work or after being out too late. I’ll keep coming back.

Anna at the front desk was polite and tried to help, but the rest of the stay was frustrating. We paid $102 a night, and I don’t think the condition of the property justified it. I took photos of the problems and plan to contact customer service to ask for a refund. The pool was listed online as open, but it was covered with plastic and had trash on top. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The first room wasn’t properly cleaned. There was urine in the toilet and visible stains on the bed. We were moved next door, where the lights didn’t work until we asked the front desk for help. The bottom of the door was bent and wouldn’t close fully, there appeared to be crushed bugs on the bed, the floor trim was falling apart, the bathtub had visible rust, and the ceiling had water stains that looked like possible leaks or long-term maintenance trouble. The online photos make the rooms look clean, updated, and well kept, but they didn’t resemble the rooms we saw. I was surprised the hotel’s current rating was so high given our experience.

We got a refund and left. The room was disgusting: dirty sheets that looked like they had body fluids and lots of hair, plus dirt and hair on the floors. There was no phone, no ceiling light fixture, fruit flies everywhere, and holes in the walls.
