Edn Hotel

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the pool was great. The staff were very helpful, and breakfast was nice too. We had a great stay.

My baby daddy and I stayed a few nights. We found a crack pipe in the mattress, blood on the edge of the sheets, purple dye on the pillowcases, and a blood stain on the toilet seat. I’d tell anyone staying here to inspect things first.

The room had a dirty-foot or mold smell, handwashing was nearly impossible, and there was blood on our blanket. We took pictures of mold and a french fry in the heater. I don’t understand how the cleaners missed the blood.

The quiet Sunday night in April was easily the best part, and the only reason I’m giving two stars. A few kids ran up and down the hall, and some people came from the pool wearing only towels around their hips. Some things you can’t unsee. We’ve stayed in worse places, but Edn is right at the bottom of our hotel experiences. We wouldn’t return, and I’d keep looking. We’d read reviews and figured it couldn’t be too bad. It wasn’t, but it wasn’t good either. Check-in was easy and the third-floor room was just okay. The lobby felt like a bus station. The door looked damaged, with a huge gouge in the frame where the replaced lock should latch. It seemed to lock poorly, rattled when closed, and the safety latch didn’t inspire confidence. Cleanliness needed a lot of work. There was debris on the floor, especially in corners and along the baseboards, and the sheets had large brown stains. The sink faucet barely sent water past the rim, so washing hands was hard. There was no hot water, only lukewarm at best, and the shower fixture was broken, leaving a metal piece sticking out of the wall. The elevator door hit me and pinned me against the frame before I pushed it back with both hands. The maintenance guy said it had done the same to him the night before. It needs fixing or an elevator technician.
