The location in Covington was convenient, with plenty nearby, and I’d gladly stay again when I’m back in the area. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the hotel clean and well maintained. After a long day, it was easy to relax there. Staff were friendly and helpful, and both check-in and check-out went quickly and smoothly. I had a very pleasant stay at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Atlanta Covington.

I was there for a week visiting family, and I’d stay again when passing through. The hotel was very clean, and people were friendly, always greeting me with a good morning or good evening. The gym had enough equipment for a decent workout, and breakfast was free with lots of seating. My room stayed at 65 to 66 degrees day and night without me touching the thermostat. I don’t know if every room is like that, but I loved it.

The staff working at night and in the morning were amazing, but I wouldn’t stay here again as an employee family member. I’ve never had this much pushback or seen management make up its own rules. Hopefully they realize they won’t succeed this way. When we arrived, we were told there was a $150 hold for each room, three times the room rate, and that the discounted rate had to be paid with one person’s card. These aren’t Marriott rules, and they were only posted on site. If the location doesn’t want to follow the rules, it shouldn’t be listed on the website for employees and their families. I’ve contacted them to have it taken off. Also, turning off the lights outside during dark hours creates problems. The hotel had only opened a week earlier, and there were already ants in the room, which is unacceptable.

The people working here were welcoming and friendly. Several employees checked in with us during breakfast to see how the stay was going, and the room looked clean and nice at check-in. It seemed like a great find at first. Then bedtime brought a bunch of problems. The room faced the freeway, and that was all I could hear through the night. A huge gap around the door let hallway light into the room after dark. The AC blew straight onto one of the two queen beds because a table above the unit directed the air that way. That person was freezing while the rest of the room felt normal. I woke up several times with my nose and mouth completely dried out. We tried turning off the fan, but it wouldn’t let us, so I drank a whole bottle of water overnight to keep my nose and mouth moist. Breakfast was very limited and pretty awful. The coffee, surprisingly, was good. I’d suggest going to the McDs across the street.

We enjoyed the fitness center and outdoor firepit, and the staff made the trip a great experience. The pool wasn’t open for the season, though I included pictures of the pool area. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the GM and front desk clerk welcomed us at check-in. This was our first visit to Covington, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The building and parking lot were newly built, and the rooms felt new and spacious. Evenings were quiet with our white noise machine, though late at night we could hear a little interstate noise. Breakfast was simple but good, with waffles, hot items like egg quiché, sausage, and sausage croissants, plus oatmeal and toppings. On Sunday there wasn’t fruit, but there was some Monday. They also had yogurt cups, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, muffins, and breakfast cake, along with hot coffee, water, OJ, and milk. Five stars to the staff for an awesome stay. We’re making memories one trip at a time. Thanks again.
