Staybridge Suites Covington

We lasted about an hour in the room before leaving. I'd skipped the reviews this one time, and regretted it. The place smelled of "shattered dreams ", mold, and who knows what else. The refrigerator was rusty and didn't work, the floors were sticky, and the cabinets looked like they hadn't been wiped in ages. Even a cheap throw blanket didn't help the soiled "loveseat". We had to borrow the only two forks left, with nothing to wash them in, so I ate my food with a chip. We left around 7:30 to head back to Southshore. The front desk lady was very kind, but maintenance and the manager wouldn't be there until Monday. Room 216 needs a lot of Clorox. At $114, I'd trust the Airline Hwy motels more, maybe for $50. Go elsewhere!!

The air conditioner didn't cool well, and the room didn't feel clean and fresh. It could use updating and new couches, and the front desk clerk needs customer service training.

The fridge, TV, and microwave didn't work. Breakfast was very stale Fruit Loops, plus eggs and sausage that they wouldn't refill unless you asked. At 10am, an hour before checkout, the manager banged on our door to ask if we were checking out so his family could clean the room.

The room was huge and worked so well for our family of seven: two adults and five kids ages 11-4. It was a king and two double bed suite, basically two rooms in one, with a king bedroom and bathroom, another bedroom with two double beds and its own bathroom, and a full kitchen and living room in the middle. The kitchen had a big fridge, stove, sink, microwave, cabinets, and a bar to sit at; the living room had a sofa, chair, and TV, and each bedroom had a TV too. The room was clean, with windows and light in each room. We stayed for my son's 11th birthday getaway while my husband was working nearby, and this was the only hotel that could fit all of us in one room without paying for two. Staff were friendly and accepting of our family, which I really appreciated. The parking lot was huge, and I thought it was great that they had outdoor electric vehicle chargers, even though I couldn't use them myself. I'd definitely stay again.
