The place smelled of marijuana everywhere, and both beds had blankets, sheets, and bed covers that looked covered in blood. There was mold in the refrigerator and on the bathroom ceiling. The motel was nasty throughout our two-night stay, and staff wouldn’t move us to another room or refund our money. We had a long drive, so we rested after arriving before doing anything else. When we got there, we waited at least 25 to 30 minutes for someone to come to the desk. She drove up in her car. They wouldn’t make the beds, and for two of us they left one towel and one washcloth. We had to ask for those things and toilet paper, but there was no one around to ask. And breakfast? It was false advertising. We left that hell hole. This is my hometown, and I couldn’t believe how it looks now. The owner needs to do his job and read the comments. I reported them, and they’re investigating.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this was insane. I get that you get what you pay for, but we’re still entitled to a clean room. The sheets and pillows were stained with blood, there was no top blanket or towels, the shower was dirty, and the trash was overflowing. It hadn’t been cleaned after the last guest. There were bed bugs too, so I slept in my car.

The clerk was nice and helpful, but I’ve taken this hotel off my work list. I stayed here a year or so ago and it was acceptable; this time was completely different. In the second room, curtains were coming off the rod, the bathroom ceiling had mildew and dust, and there was no faucet handle. I brought Lysol to make the smell tolerable, but it only covered up cigarette smoke, dampness, and old body odor. I even found the previous guest’s vitamins beside the bed. The first room they gave us was still occupied and full of someone’s belongings. The walls are thin, so you hear everything, and housekeeping starts knocking at 8 am to ask if you’re ready to check out. I’m not sure why, since it doesn’t seem like cleaning or maintenance is happening. Maybe they need to make sure the roaches get breakfast. The breakfast equipment in the lobby was broken. They also claim to have laundry, but it’s a laundromat across the street, and that place is in disrepair too. That may explain the stained, discolored towels and linens. Avoid this place until they fix basics like faucets and holes.

I slept well here. The stay was quiet and pleasant, and the beds were much more comfortable than mine at home, so I’d consider coming back next time I visit. The hotel is right next to Walmart, and while there aren’t many food choices nearby, there were enough to handle a late-night craving. Staff had their own charm, directions to my room were easy to get, and both check-in and checkout went smoothly. I got the peaceful stay I paid for, without fancy extras or a big dent in my wallet.
