The beds were comfortable and clean, the hot water stayed on, breakfast was very good, and the new coffee machines made a perfect cup. The staff did their best, and the hotel was fairly clean. Paul's, a nearby family-run restaurant, serves authentic Italian food, and Reds down the road has very good seafood. I was there for four days after a nine-hour drive and wanted to soak my back in the hot tub. The pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance the whole time, and staff didn't know what was wrong or when they'd reopen. I only found out they weren't working after calling to book and asking if the hotel had them. I should have asked if they were functioning. The iron in my room was broken too. Holiday Inn had a rough week. I paid $483 for three nights, plus New York taxes on taxes. I'm sure they'll fix the problems before my next visit. I was a bit let down, but no one is perfect all the time. If you need the pool or hot tub, ask if they're working before booking. See you next time, if they're fixed.

The rooms were warm, the shower was hot, and the linens were clean. The location seemed isolated, with few food options nearby, and the parking lot hadn't been plowed well, so it was hard to tell where to park. We picked up coffee and muffins from the complimentary breakfast before leaving. The muffins were very moldy and need closer inspection. If my daughter had opened one and eaten it without looking first, she might have gotten sick.
Back in town for work, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Billy runs a great hotel with a good staff. It's clean, quiet, and safe, and the breakfast is great.
The room was noisy from the highway, with no soundproofing, and the old bed linens had stains that wouldn't come out. At breakfast around 7, there was barely any bacon or sausage, the juice was almost gone, and neither the waffle maker nor pancake maker was available. We ran out of toilet paper and the front desk said they had none. Before arriving, I called to ask about early check-in. They took my information and said a room should be ready since I was only ten minutes away. When I got there, the desk clerk had no idea what I meant and told me to return in an hour and a half.
It's hard to find somewhere to eat late, since nearby businesses seem to close by 9 pm, though that's not the hotel's fault. The rooms are clean, breakfast is tasty with plenty of choices, and getting to the highway is easy. Staff are great, make sure your needs are handled, and offer helpful recommendations.
