Extended Stay America - Premier Suites Pittsburgh Hotel - Cranberry Township - I-76

Three staff members, Barbie, Yassania, and Tammy, were compassionate and quick to respond when the heater failed in cold weather. I reported it, and they came up to check. When they said the maintenance guy had just left, they moved me to another room without my even asking. They were kind throughout, and those three women deserve a higher position. That kindness stood out against a very bad stay. The room smelled strongly of cigarettes everywhere, from the bed and walls to the bathroom. The floors were so dirty I mopped with a Swiffer wet jet, and the pad came away full of gray cigarette ash. The shower was dirty and moldy, the toilet filthy with black rings and mold, the sink dirty, and there was ash on the walls. People talked loudly and played music at 1 a.m., while the fire alarm went off several times overnight. Reviews suggest others have had similar problems. One elevator was already out, then the other stopped working too. The first-floor toilets flooded and barely flushed, and there was dog hair on the sofa bed. Breakfast was nothing like the online description: mostly oatmeal, fig bars, yogurt, and coffee, with muffins or oat bars only sometimes. The place gives the impression they care only about your money and don’t fix things.

After living there for over a year, I came home from work one day to find I wasn’t allowed to stay, even though I’d paid for several more nights. I had to call the police to retrieve my belongings, was given just two hours to get them, and had to leave some things behind. A month later, I still haven’t been refunded for the nights I paid for but couldn’t use. I have payment receipts and photos showing the room wasn’t damaged. The receptionists are fantastic, and some housekeepers are too, though mine rarely came by. The manager seems to make up policies as she goes. Also, the pool is closed, so don’t count on using it.

Our room smelled bad, the sink was clogged at check-in, and the toilet leaked onto the floor. The place is dirty and in poor repair. One of the two elevators was broken the whole time, while the working one was glitchy. The room’s “full kitchen” amounted to a hot plate, fridge, and sink, with no plates, cups, cookware, or cutlery, and not even a cheap Keurig machine. There are plenty of other hotels in Cranberry, PA. Stay somewhere else.

This was easily the worst hotel I’ve ever visited. There were bugs in the shower, on the floor, and on the bed, and the room was filthy. Check-in also added a $100 hold to the total for reasons I don’t know. The hotel was loud, with kids running around everywhere, which felt overwhelming even though I love kids. Only one elevator worked, and it was very inconvenient. The front desk staff were dismissive and unwelcoming. I checked in one day and left the next because the experience was that bad.
