There was no soap, shampoo, or conditioner. The TV got no reception, and the air conditioner didn’t work.

We got charged for three nights for a one night stay. The place smelled strongly of smoke, the bathroom had mold everywhere, and the carpet was disgusting. Sketchy, bottom of the barrel hotel. Wouldn’t recommend.

We had to stay the whole holiday weekend because there was nowhere else to go, and I wish I’d read more reviews first. The XXX Girls club right next door was a bad sign from the start. Our first non-smoking room reeked of smoke. When we asked to move, the staff member showed no surprise or apology and seemed to know people smoked in the rooms. The next room didn’t smell smoky, but it was musty, with filthy carpet. I wore shoes or flip flops on it the whole time, and never heard a vacuum while we were there. Hot water was scarce every morning. A faint raw sewage smell in the hallway on the first morning got worse that evening and the next day. By checkout on Sunday afternoon, we held our breath to get out the side door. We suspect it was coming from a utility room next to our room, maybe a major sewage problem. How could they leave that from Thursday night through Sunday without fixing it? When we told the front desk at checkout, all we got was, “Okay, I’ll tell him.” It was obvious she already knew.

The location makes sense if you’re stopping while traveling on the interstate: parking was easy and there are places to eat close by. There are more choices if you go about two miles south, though I had to drive through town construction to get there. I don’t think there were hotels on the other side of town anyway. My room was clean, and there were no bugs to take home, which is a big plus. It was quite smoke-free and didn’t smell like marijuana, unlike what I’ve found in most places these days. The Wi-Fi was kind of slow in my room, and the standard Dish TV setup was a pain to navigate. The place is a bit dated.
