The quiet setting near the marina made this a great place to study, and it was the best affordable hotel I found in Crisfield for its location. I stayed about six years ago while preparing for a technical certification exam. The owner and his family were kind, keeping the rooms clean and even picking me up at the airport when Uber wasn’t available, then taking me to the exam. I’d stay again if I’m back in Maryland. If you’re flying in, I’d suggest the Crisfield airport over Salisbury Regional.

We had a lovely view of the marina, just a short walk away, and our room was clean. The beds were a little hard, but I slept well. The price felt a bit high, though it was a holiday weekend with a nearby festival, so I expected that. We could even see the festival fireworks right outside our room. Staff at check-in and check-out were friendly and suggested places to eat, but the road was going to close for the fireworks, so we ended up getting pizza. We arrived too late to use the pool, whose posted hours were 9-8. I’d recommend the hotel and would stay again.

The owners went out of their way for us. I’d called ahead to ask when the pool closed because I was traveling with two granddaughters who wanted to swim. We were later than the time I’d mentioned, but the owner had kept the pool open a little longer while waiting for us. They also opened it a few minutes early the next morning so we could swim before leaving. That was incredibly thoughtful and unexpected. The rooms were clean, the pool area was nice, breakfast was good, and everyone was excellent to work with from start to finish. The owner also suggested local sights, including the giant rubber duck in the marina. They let me leave business cards for my natural healing business, Ginger-roots-co. Thanks! We really enjoyed our stay, and I’ll come back when I’m in the area.

We enjoyed being able to walk to the nearby marina and stop at the Tawes museum. The complimentary breakfast was handy for grabbing a quick bite before our Crisfield adventure. Check-in was easy, our room was spotless, and the bed and bedding felt plush and comfortable. We’ll be back.

For a quick $100 stay, this was just right: clean rooms, working AC, and breakfast. The hotel also stands out as clean and tidy in a town that’s a bit rundown. I gave it five stars because what we got matched what was advertised, a budget stay with few or no frills. I stayed on two separate nights in the space of a week, first in room 115 and then in 201. Both had working showers and WiFi as well as AC. There’s a nice-looking pool, though I didn’t use it. The continental breakfast was basic but enough: prewrapped muffins, bananas, a waffle maker, coffee, juice, milk, cereal, yogurt cups, and a few condiments. I made waffles with banana and yogurt on top. The coffee was basic bulk coffee. It’s not an expensive Hilton with a daily resort fee, so don’t expect the perks that come with places like that. The photo is from the balcony of 201, with the edge of the pool and the hotel’s back lawn leading to the cove in view.
