The TV size and location were the only decent things about the hotel. The rooms smelled awful, and there was a cockroach on the desk as soon as we walked in. Police had to come to this location multiple times for issues ranging from drugs to domestic violence. The staff didn't do anything, and there were no refunds or comps. Don't waste your time. You won't get any sleep.

We couldn't stay in the non-smoking room we booked. The carpet and upholstery were full of burn holes, and the stench was suffocating. One of my guests has asthma, so we couldn't take the health and safety risk. There was also an ooey gooey stain in the middle of the bed, which supposedly had just been changed. I don't even want to guess what it was. Gross! We were there for a wedding, and by the time we got back and went to complain, nobody was available at the front desk. I've been trying to get a refund for over two months, but customer service has been horrible. They hung up on me and refused any compensation or refund. Other reviews sound a lot like mine, so this seems typical for this dump. Do not stay here. After seeing the reply to my review, I have to laugh. The exact same response appears under everyone's review. They say new measures have already been put in place, but they'd said that months before our stay and we still had the same problems other guests described. Seems like they don't actually care. Still no refund from this disgusting place.

My girlfriend stayed here about a week ago, and at first everything seemed fine. Then they charged $90 to her debit card for no apparent reason. We disputed it with the bank, and the bank said the hotel was at fault. We called repeatedly and were ignored. After she posted a one-star review on Trip Advisor, they suddenly messaged her saying they'd give $50 back but keep the other $40. That felt petty and unprofessional. Other reviews mention roaches and homeless people sleeping in the parking lot, too. I'd strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

I saw cockroaches less than an hour after getting into the room. The sheets were really dirty, so I grabbed my things and left right away. If I could, I'd give them zero stars.

The Cromwell, CT location is reasonably priced and clean, right near the highway. Wesleyan University and Middlesex Community College are close by. Both casinos, Mohegan and Foxwoods, are about an hour away via RT #9. Worth the trip.
