Roseberry House Bed & Breakfast

After a long day on the road, Dan made us feel welcome and looked after us with real patience and kindness. Breakfast the next morning was next level. We also loved how cozy the place felt and that the owners have kept the house true to its period. Dan was excited to tell us about the projects they have planned, too. We’d happily recommend the Roseberry House to friends and hope to come back.

Breakfast, made at home, was spectacular, and the whole stay in this beautiful Victorian house was quiet and clean. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, and we found the room really cozy and comfortable. We’ll definitely stay here again on our annual drive to Reno.

The room’s separate alcove had a single bed for my 95 year old mother, and the space worked well for the three of us. The beds were comfortable, too. We were driving from Bend OR to Olympic Valley California and needed a stop along the way. Breakfast in the morning was fabulous, and the owner’s restaurant recommendation for dinner was perfect. He came and went, which suited us since we didn’t need anything else.

Breakfast was bad, and I ended up with a digestive bacterial infection that lasted two weeks. My doctor thought it probably came from the well water or food that hadn’t been prepared cleanly. The host was drinking beer at 8 am and didn’t seem interested in being there. We stayed in the French Suite, where the room was just OK and could have used a more thorough cleaning. It also took a very long time for the hot water to come through.
