Windrose On Hudson

The rooms felt a bit dated, and the hotel had an oddly quiet atmosphere, but I still had a really nice stay. The grounds are lovely, with several good amenities, including a big gym with a yoga and dance studio, racquetball court, machines, and weights, plus a game room. I liked the grab-and-go area, especially the unlimited free coffee, water, and soda. The cafe was nice too, and its staff were incredibly friendly. The dining room was closed, but ordering from Uber Eats was no problem.

I came for a work conference and had a lovely time. The scenery around the hotel is so good that it makes up for the fairly basic interior decor. The property is beautiful, and the staff were all really helpful. My one regret is that I didn’t have enough time to hike the trails there.

The staff were very helpful, and the spacious rooms suited this serene, picturesque former GE training campus. There’s a takeout station with coffee, bagels, and muffins, though there isn’t always a restaurant available. I would’ve liked a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in the room.

We were in Croton for a funeral, and relatives coming from different states were all able to stay here. The facilities were fantastic, and getting around was convenient. We took a train into NYC for the day, then rode our own bikes to Croton dam and around the reservoir, which was a lot of fun. The Wild Turkeys on the property were entertaining too. I’d definitely stay here again if I return to this part of ny.
