The price was reasonable for the location and the quality of the stay. Home Suites 2 was beautiful, clean, and well cared for, with an incredibly friendly team. We loved the breakfast buffet each morning, with plenty of choices, and the cooking staff were welcoming and kind. Housekeeping was just as sweet, hospitable, and attentive. We’d definitely return.

There’s plenty around the hotel, including restaurants, Walmart, and several kinds of retail stores. The rooms are very large and clean, and the property has lots of amenities, such as outdoor seating areas and grills. You could easily stay for a while. Breakfast was just okay.

It’s a lovely place and one of Cullman’s best. Getting in from the road is a little odd, look right before turning left. I’d ask for an odd-numbered room on the top floor, since you can hear whoever’s above you. The facilities are nice, and the gym is decent, with weights and a Peloton bicycle. There’s a nice kitchenette with a big fridge, microwave, and sink. No built-in stove, but you can borrow one at the front desk. Laundry costs $2.50 per load and accepts credit cards.

The room is nice and clean, but I called to ask about Tesla supercharging and was told the available charging only goes up to 6a. If you have an EV, you probably don’t want to stay here. At that rate, it’ll take 30 hours to charge. Eight hours later, I’d gained just 4%.

Breakfast was supposed to start at 6, but the employee arrived late and still hadn’t opened it by 6:15. There was no sense of urgency. After staying with Hilton for 30 years, I find this unacceptable and below the Hilton standard. I’ll contact corporate and won’t stay at this location again. I have 30 years in retail and service, and this employee shouldn’t be in the service industry. That nonchalant attitude reflects badly on the Hilton brand and affects other people. Get it together.
