Deano's Motel

For the price, this was the best deal I found in LA. The room looked dated, but it was comfortable, with a wonderful bed made up every day, clean room, fluffy towels, and hot water. If you care more about function than looks, it’s a good value.

I’ve stayed at the Astro on and off for a few months now. It’s been quiet, clean, and friendly, and I haven’t seen a single insect. The police drive through the parking lot each night and always seem friendly to me. Best deal in town, thumbs up!

We’ve stayed here on and off since 2015, and in 2024 I’ve been here for over two months with my children. The manager is very rude and disrespectful, abuses his authority, and tries to humiliate people, including the housekeepers. I hope the owner replaces him because his customer service is not good at all. The rooms smell like sewer and aren’t properly cleaned. I’ve had to clean ours before my kids could go in. Not every room has a microwave, either. The rates are $95 for one bed and $110 for two beds, for two people; each person over three costs an extra $10.

I love staying here. It’s affordable and quiet, and I like the nice carpeting in the rooms. The employees follow the “maid service” or “do not disturb” signs and don’t bother you. Room service is great.
