Cupertino Hotel

The price felt like a real find for the comfort and service, and I’d book again without hesitation. Breakfast was fresh and filling, and the quiet street meant we slept right through without noise. Our room was spotless and peaceful, with that rare feeling that everything simply works. Check-in was quick, and the staff were warm while still being professional.

The location is good, but the hotel has gone downhill since our last visit and isn’t being maintained well. The common-area carpets are worn and dirty. There was a big gap under our room door, and we had to use a bath towel to keep the cold wind out.

I left instead of spending the night in a dirty room where I wasn’t comfortable. The carpets were filthy and the rooms dusty. When I complained and asked to move, I was told there were no rooms available. Then my request for a full refund was denied. What was I supposed to do, stay somewhere I felt uncomfortable just so I wouldn’t lose my money? Such a disappointment. Don’t waste your time or money on this “hotel.”

I keep coming back on weekends, and I usually sleep well because the rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, and well insulated from noise. The hotel seems quiet when I visit. It’s past its glory days and a bit dated, especially the pool area, hallways, and stair carpets, but I still find it comfortable and a great value. I figure it’ll get bought by a chain and refurbished soon. Breakfast is free, basic but a nice extra: baked goods, coffee, fruit, toast, juice, waffles, and eggs. I wish the room had a microwave. The location works well, with a Safeway in the next parking lot and the 280 onramp right beside it.
