A good location if you want to be near the marina. The room was dated, but it looked very clean, probably one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. The air conditioner worked and there was hot water. Just know the outside is very dark at night, with no exterior lights, so finding the room can be difficult. It’s a fisherman’s motel, but it did the job for a night’s sleep.

The location made it easy to get to several attractions, and I felt safe traveling alone. Lake Erie Lodge is family run, and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. My room was clean, and the outdoor pool was clean and refreshing. I stayed in mid-July.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a clean fridge, good water pressure, and nice hot water. After fishing late, that was exactly what we needed. The staff made check-in easy and were helpful and professional. We booked at the last minute because it was close to where my son was staying by the lake, affordable, and we only needed somewhere to sleep for a few hours over a fishing weekend in Erie. I expected less for the price, and I’ll gladly stay again and recommend it to friends and family. The building isn’t new or decked out in marble, but for around $100 a night, I wasn’t expecting the Hilton at $350. The staff were top notch and the room was clean.

We booked a king room ahead of time, but were told at check-in that they had run out. We still needed somewhere to stay, so we took the room that was left. It was incredibly dirty, smelled like urine and cigarettes, and had dead and live bugs. The sheets were stained and dusty, and it didn’t look like anyone had cleaned the room in a while. This place needs major work to make the rooms clean and comfortable. I’ve stayed in motels that were much better taken care of.
